Bees have been around for nearly 130 million years. Humans have worked with honey bees as pollinators for roughly 9,000 years. Bees represent an integral part of not only our environment, but also our daily lives. The food we eat, the wild flowers we see on the sides of roads, the honey we put in our tea-- all exist because of bees. This isn’t supposed to be a nursery rhyme, but now that I have caught your attention, pay attention to why we need bees--and not just honey bees! There are many native species that are also in danger!
